ASD Targets have teamed up with the innovator (John Cropper) of this patented revolutionary self loading, self powered reactive target to deliver a quality shooting target that is great fun to use for all ages, environmentally friendly and cost effective. Along with John we exhibited this new design (now suitable for rimfire cartridges as well as air rifles pellets), at SHOT Show 2012 on the British Pavillion in Las Vegas, it received much acclaim by all.
SSR Targets profiles are made from high quality steel and the patented mechanism compromises three different types of composite material, specifically chosen for strength and to aid the functionality of the mechanism to produce a quality, reliable and consistent operation. A new spring mechanism specifically designed to gain entry into the rimfire market was also launched at SHOT Show 2012
SSR Targets are self loading targets, unlike other targets there are no strings to get caught on sticks or rocks when you try to reset the mechanism, if you hit the chalk disc, another disc is automatically loaded for you in the opposite target area. For the small profiles (rabbit, squirrel and crow) you have 20 chalk discs per magazine, in the case of the coyote profile it is double the fun at 40 discs due to the double mechanism. A prairie dog profile is being designed for the American market following the feedback received at SHOT show
SSR Targets have many features and benefits, some of which are listed below
Instant notification of a "kill" shot (as pictured below)
Portable target allowing shooting in any permitted area
Multiple targets areas
Large capacity magazine (20 discs)
Quick assembly, just bolt the base and profile together and you are ready to shoot
100% recyclable and the chalk discs are biodegradable
Mechanism is standard for air rifle and rimfire profiles (only the face plate differs)
